Have a problem with this and have had discussions with another avid follower of yours - about "mosquitoes". Whatever you call the outcome of an insect bite - I suffer badly from it (allergic ?

) and that part of my body will swell up, I will get a fever etc etc.

Yes, yes, yes, your body reacts to protect you - "Mosquito bites are the result of a bite by a female mosquito. Male mosquitoes don't bite. A female mosquito doesn't necessarily bite you, but instead sucks blood as a part of their diet. The skin around this area is irritated, and a circular bump appears on the skin.".

But whilst we are all pushing (people like you especially and a huge thank you for that) against the belief in virus' and vaccines (pandemics etc) ... maybe it iseven worth going further and explain to people that a century or more ago; we did not have names for every specific illness... we had "symptoms" ... my point is for example - cold, flu, covid and and and all have the same symptoms (apart from being run over or being shot and being told it was due to Covid !! - lol).

Of course there are benefits in some of the modern medicine and EVEN some of the drugs; but in general it is all bllx and about selling products.

...

Quick story why I am waffling about Mosquitoes. I was out in a small village in central Thailand, like a village 1,000 years back in general (with a few exceptions). I ignored anti malaria jab and pills, even though "I had not awaked then"... anyway got a bite once sitting around a fire with the locals... and my leg swelled like a tree trunk, I hit fever pitch and collapsed.

Woke up surrounded by the women of the village spitting their red seeds or whatever they chew all day on my leg, and they had placed a picture of one of the dead sons on me ... strangely enough - all worked out fine within 18 hours .. that is one of my big life changers. Only thing I can think of is that nature via the red seeds has a cure for every illness, symptom or whatever we can get !!!>

Thank you. I am not at all denying that people, including me, react to being bitten by mosquitoes. The point I emphasise is that whatever the effects of the bite, they are not because the mosquitoes carry 'dangerous viruses'.

Your story about what happened to you is very interesting. Did you ever find out exactly what bit you? I'm sure the red seeds helped - I'm not sure about the picture of the dead son though! Yes, nature is very powerful and has many antidotes for poisonings.

Some insects certainly do inject venomous substances into their victims, mainly to prevent them reacting before the insect can draw the blood they require. So I'm not denying that they can cause harm, my main point is that they are not injecting 'viruses' that cause 'infectious diseases'. Some creatures, not just insects, are highly venomous of course. The point is that we don't all necessarily respond in exactly the same way.

I am not claiming that I know exactly what happens when someone is bitten, I am stating what has never been proven to be true. I would also add that anti-malaria jabs and pills have not been proven to prevent 'disease' - they do not prevent reactions either.

Have nothing to respond with as I agree with you totally with you. If I get a bite now in the summer and it starts to swell or I feel sick - I literally make short cuts around the area (hopefully I have a clean surgical knife from my nurse wife)or I just use a stanley knife from my shed ... works a ruddy treat - HOWEVER dangerous and stupid it may sound.

PS I would guess just a mozzie in Thailand.

Well I've been getting notifications from APHA - not about bird floo, but about blue tongue - I don't have 4 legged livestock, so I thought oh they are after the sheep with the "insect borne viral disease of ruminants" - those pesky mozzies. Old Billy Goats had better watch it!
