How wonderful to listen to two of my favorite non-fiction authors! Steven, like Dawn, is a not only brilliant and brave, but a lovely person. Here is a toast to always learning! Much gratitude.

Hey Dawn!... great chat with Dr Steven!... 'spinning globe earth' and 'flat and stationary earth' are the quintessential false binary... the sanctioned argument designed to go on forever with no resolution... both beliefs claim and require that there is a 'physical downward vector' which observably, testably and repeatably does not exist... 100% provable... The foundational grabble for the birth of 'Scientism' is the lie about the directional vector... message me... bearalertkurt@gmail.com... I can back up all my claims with practical physics... Cheers!

So many resources and advanced technology, but the proponents of the spinning ball did not attempt to conduct and document this control experiment even though they were informed in detail. Coincidence?: https://jmp.sh/s/M5W4pqWhtFzzO0LKnNxw

Globe-refutators claims overlook some mechanisms, assuming gyroscopes are uncorrected and should drift significantly over a spherical Earth. In reality, the correction system (e.g., pendulous vanes responding to gravity) continuously adjusts the gyroscope to maintain alignment with the local horizon, making it effective regardless of Earth's shape. This design has been refined over decades to ensure flight safety and reliability.

Error regarding spirit level controls lies in not accounting for the fact that gravity’s direction changes along with the aircraft’s orientation on a spherical Earth, keeping the spirit level balanced. This misunderstanding led to an incorrect conclusion that the Earth is flat, when the observation is fully consistent with a spherical Earth.

I am well aware that this gyroscope test was not conclusive. You are misrepresenting my position by suggesting that I became a flat earther based on that one experiment. I didn't. Not even close. The globe is destroyed by long distance observations, lack of curvature, lack of spin, lack of real pictures, and hundreds of other proofs.

Apparently, people love this topic. It's the fastest I've gotten a significant number of views compared to my other posts.

Long distance observations point very neatly to the fact that we live on a sphere. Present one photograph of the sun an hour after sunset. Find the highest point you can in North America and present a photo of Everest. Explain why boats disappear from the bottom up over the horizon. Explain why the sun is always the same size in the sky. Explain tides, eclipses, plane routes.

You claimed to be a “independent” but you have a profit motive here to sell books. And you know there is a market for this hog wash.

I wrote a book to explain my position as thoroughly as possible, and nobody paid me to do it, 2 years work on my own dime, so yes I am independent. I put it all out there for people to make up their own mind. You will clearly never read it. Yet you come here in a tantrum demanding that I explain flat earth 101 elementary concepts to you, to save you the trouble of doing your own research. Your laziness is surpassed only by your ignorance.

Steve's book is called A Fool's Wisdom, as discussed in the podcast.

The fact that the Pacific Ocean is large in your opinion is not evidence the Earth is flat.

Give us your exact location in Hawaii and the area you claim to have seen from there.

Or you could go and do some long distance observations yourself.
